What Does a 14 Month Around the World Trip Look Like Anyway?

2015 Travel Plans...So Far 2

Travel Plans…So Far

UPDATE:

Although this tour has come and gone, the message remains the same! Check out my route from a 14 month trip around the world and then some!

With all the awesome of 2014 behind me it is time to look ahead. 2015 will be the biggest year for me in regards to travel and this site. The end of 2014 saw me leave my desk job, sell my house and all but a few possessions as I prepared for the most epic year+ of travel This Life in Trips has ever seen. In the next year I will be travelling full-time and writing about it along the way. This concept really hasn’t sunk in until now. I have just left Canada and realized I don’t know when I will be back.

Holy. Shit.

It’s a lot to wrap your head around when you think about it. No home and no possessions other than the contents of a backpack. Thankfully the excitement of what’s to come is greater than any anxiety I may have. I am trying to balance work/life as well as planning ahead/being spontaneous by booking my route and press trips three months in advance. After those three months I will settle somewhere for a month or so to explore and plan the next three months of my life. With what I have planned so far and finally sharing it I am more than excited. From touring the Florida Keys to the most luxurious train in the world, the next three months are going to be epic.

With that here is my 2015 Travel plans as they stand so far:

How awesome! I’m in the same boat, about to head off on a RTW trip next month. It’s going to be weird being officially homeless and unemployed! But so liberating. 🙂 Have an amazing trip!
