Travel Plans…So Far
UPDATE:
Although this tour has come and gone, the message remains the same! Check out my route from a 14 month trip around the world and then some!
With all the awesome of 2014 behind me it is time to look ahead. 2015 will be the biggest year for me in regards to travel and this site. The end of 2014 saw me leave my desk job, sell my house and all but a few possessions as I prepared for the most epic year+ of travel This Life in Trips has ever seen. In the next year I will be travelling full-time and writing about it along the way. This concept really hasn’t sunk in until now. I have just left Canada and realized I don’t know when I will be back.
Holy. Shit.
It’s a lot to wrap your head around when you think about it. No home and no possessions other than the contents of a backpack. Thankfully the excitement of what’s to come is greater than any anxiety I may have. I am trying to balance work/life as well as planning ahead/being spontaneous by booking my route and press trips three months in advance. After those three months I will settle somewhere for a month or so to explore and plan the next three months of my life. With what I have planned so far and finally sharing it I am more than excited. From touring the Florida Keys to the most luxurious train in the world, the next three months are going to be epic.
With that here is my 2015 Travel plans as they stand so far:

Sounds like an amazing start to your trip! I will be following along and jealous too!
Thanks Leslie!
Africa!? Awesome!!
🙂
Rad dude! Will you be in Thailand at all? I’m living in Chiang Mai till at least June.
I should be there around then! Let me know if you have any recos on appartments!
An African Safari is on my bucket list! Can’t wait to read about it and see your pictures!
Thanks Tara! I’m pumped!
Superbowl?!? Dope! Also, what you have planed for NYC?
Not much Victor. Any recos for me?
Wow! Good luck. Very, very exciting, and a teensy bit scary!
Thanks but what is scary?!
I guess going for it like you are. But that might just be me!
Ah! Yes I can see how it is scary for some but I have become a bit numb to it! This is my life I guess. Hope I can help others get over that fear as well!
Nice! Where are you most excited for so far? Super Bowl is tough to beat!
South Aftica! Although now that the Seahawks are in…what a game.
How awesome! I’m in the same boat, about to head off on a RTW trip next month. It’s going to be weird being officially homeless and unemployed! But so liberating. 🙂 Have an amazing trip!
First off congrats on the life change! Where are you off to first?
Thanks for the comment and good luck!
Thanks! Doing the SE Asia route first, then off to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, and Europe! 🙂
Nice! Looks like we are doing opposite trips! Will have to swap ideas!
