Dubrovnik is home to the most impressive walled city in the world (says me) and on my 1st visit, I completely missed walking on them. A walk on the old Dubrovnik walls was a big part of why I decided to return. The old town is ridiculously beautiful and strolling its 80+ f00t high walls gave me a whole new perspective and appreciation for the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” To circle the entire city it will take you about 2 hours, cost you 120 Kuna (~$23 CAD), and drain your camera battery.Compare prices on flights to Croatia with Skyscanner!
I could go on explaining how the city walls fought off invaders for centuries and remained intact during the siege by Serbia in the ’90s but I would rather show you why it is the most popular attraction in Dubrovnik today.
With that here is my photo walk on the old Dubrovnik walls:
The Old Dubrovnik Walls From the Adriatic Sea?
Now that I have conquered the city walls from above, on my next visit I need to see the city from the sea. Renting a boat in Croatia is extremely popular and a great way to explore the coast. On my return, I hope to do just that. Thanks to companies like Zizoo.com, renting a boat in Croatia is also extremely easy!
