Just past the 24/7 security guard and the entrance to the yoga studio and spa, the hotel opens up into a lively hub of activity. To the left, you’ll find a spacious coworking area and two inviting restaurants—Smash and a cozy secondary cafe called General, and the rooftop resturaunt Cierto, serving everything from sushi to sunset cocktails.

Smash specializes in fresh, healthy eats like acai bowls, smoothies, and specialty coffees, while the other spot offers baked goods and satisfying meal options. This setup instantly sets the tone for a digital nomad-friendly stay.

There’s also a charming coffee station with locally grown and roasted beans, teas, infused water, and even milk alternatives in a mini fridge—small details that really elevate the experience.

I arrived early after an overnight flight from Montreal in Avianca business class, and I was beyond grateful when the friendly front desk team allowed me to check in early.
