Singapore Airlines is renowned for its world-class service, both in the air and on the ground. Having previously enjoyed their lounges in Singapore and Sydney, I was incredibly excited to revisit the newly remodeled SilverKris Lounge Terminal 3 in Changi Airport. Reopened in May 2022 after a massive $36.5 million renovation, the flagship Silverkris lounge Changi airport spans over 32,000 square feet and is truly impressive in scale and offerings.
In this SilverKris Lounge review, I’ll cover its location, access, features, food, and my personal experience at this standout facility. Let’s dive in.

The SilverKris Lounge is located conveniently above the departure gates at Changi Airport’s Terminal 3. Though it’s in the same general area as the old lounge, the recent expansion took over the space previously occupied by the SilverKris Gold Lounge, making it one of the largest lounges in the airport.
To find the entrance, head up the escalator and past the SilverKris Gold Lounge. You’ll see separate entrances for the Business Class and First Class sections.
Silverkris Lounge Access
SilverKris Lounge access is available to Singapore Airlines Business Class passengers, Star Alliance Business and First Class passengers on partner airlines, and KrisFlyer PPS Club or PPS Club Solitaire members flying in any cabin on Singapore Airlines. My access was included with my EVA Air business class ticket (Star Alliance partner), issued through my around-the-world Aeroplan reward ticket.

Features and Amenities of the SilverKris Lounge
After stepping through the entrance, I was blown away by how big the new lounge is. Confusingly, you can turn right or left to discover plenty of seating options, bars, and kitchen spaces. Instinct took me left.
As you go to the main lounge area, you’ll pass by a concierge desk where friendly staff can assist with any inquiries or flight-related issues. Whether you need help rebooking a flight, checking gate information, or simply asking for recommendations, the concierge team is on hand to ensure a smooth experience.
Additionally, just before entering the lounge, there’s a small duty-free shop offering a curated selection of products, perfect for last-minute purchases or indulging in some retail therapy before your flight. This thoughtful setup adds an extra layer of convenience and service, helping travelers feel well cared for when they enter the lounge.
Expansive Layout and Varied Seating
With its spacious 32,000-square-foot layout, the lounge offers various seating options to suit different preferences—whether you want to work, relax, or dine. The lounge is divided into multiple areas with private booths, communal tables, and comfortable couches.
I found a quiet, cozy spot in the back of the lounge where I could unwind before my flight. The seating was plush and comfortable, making it an ideal place to relax. One of the standout features of this lounge is the abundance of power options—there are plenty of standard plugs and USB ports conveniently located throughout the space, so you’re never far from a charging point.
To my delight, I discovered a wireless charging pad on the table beside my seat, allowing me to recharge my phone without cables. Singapore Airlines has paid attention to the needs of modern travelers, making it easy to stay connected while enjoying a calm, restful environment. Whether catching up on work or simply relaxing with a cup of TWG tea, the lounge offers everything you need to recharge—literally and figuratively—before your journey.
Although I was impressed with the variety, I was surprised that there were no nap rooms or reclining chairs, especially considering Singapore’s reputation as a major hub for long-haul flights. If you have an extended layover, I would recommend checking into the Crowne Plaza at Changi Airport or the YotelAir for a more restful experience.
SilverKris Lounge Showers and Facilities
The SilverKris Lounge offers several well-appointed shower rooms, which are a great option if you’re looking to freshen up between flights. The shower suites are large and include fresh towels, premium toiletries, and a spacious jetted shower.
Though I didn’t need to use the shower this time, the overall cleanliness of the lounge gave me confidence that the shower facilities are top-notch.
The business class SilverKris Lounge also features a quiet playroom for those traveling with children.
SilverKris Lounge Food and Drink
The SilverKris Lounge in Changi’s Terminal 3 boasts an impressive food selection, catering to various palates with an emphasis on Asian cuisine. This is by far the highlight so please come hungry.
During my visit, I enjoyed:
- Mango sticky rice and gluten-free desserts
- Dim sum and sushi
- A beautifully arranged salad bar
- Indian dishes like butter paneer and curries
There are also live cooking stations where chefs prepare fresh dishes to order. Similar to Turkish Airlines’ lounges in Istanbul, these culinary offerings elevate the lounge experience and really set them apart.
In addition to fresh salads and sushi rolls, another highlight of the SilverKris lounge food is the consideration for dietary-challenged travelers. In the business class SilverKris lounge, you will find gluten-free and vegan options, including cakes and bread as well as non-dairy milk options.
SilverKris Lounge Drinks: A Full-Service Bar and Self-Serve Options
The lounge includes a full-service bar, where bartenders craft cocktails upon request. Behind the bar, you’ll find espresso machines for freshly brewed drinks and the lounge also features a great selection of TWG teas. There’s an area with various wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages for self-serve options. One of them is a wine vending machine—a fun touch that reminded me of the one I enjoyed during my stay at Château Laurier in Quebec City. I also loved seeing the self-pouring Asahi beer machine, similar to the ones in ANA lounges.
SilverKris Lounge Review Conclusion
As I found, the newly renovated SilverKris Lounge at Changi Terminal 3 truly raises the standard for business class lounges globally. With its wide range of seating options, top-tier dining, and thoughtful amenities like the wine vending machine and self-pouring Asahi beer, Singapore Airlines has successfully elevated the pre-flight experience.
That said, there’s always room for enhancement, like adding nap rooms to cater to long layovers. But overall, the lounge excels in providing a relaxing and enjoyable environment before your flight. If you’re flying EVA Air business class like I did on my around-the-world trip with Aeroplan, you’ll be treated to this fantastic experience.
