Where To Go And What To Do On A Trip To The Sunshine State

Circa 39 Review – A Travel Inspired Hotel in Miami Beach 6

There’s a reason that Florida is nicknamed the Sunshine State. If you go at the right time of year, you’ll be able to enjoy nothing but hot summer days. Sure, there will be an odd heavy shower or thunderstorm, but even the rain is warm in this tropical paradise. Florida is also filled with lots of different possibilities and activities that are worth exploring for an exciting adventure. Let’s take a look at some of the best options here that you can uncover yourself in some of the main locations around the state.

Orlando

First, you might want to think about visiting Orlando. Orlando is home to some of the most incredible theme parks in the world. We are of course referring to Disney World and Universal. There are others here too including Lego Land. Ultimately, this makes Orlando a great place to take the kids and the vast majority of people who visit Disney World are from international locations. That’s because Orlando is so easy to access as a vacation hotspot.

Of course, if you think that the parks are only for the kids and big kids, you’re a little mistaken. There are things here that the adults are sure to enjoy as well. For instance, Disney has two totally themed water parks. One has one of the biggest water ride drops in the world while the other has a massive, sprawling wave pool with waves that can climb over ten feet in the air. If you’re a strong enough swimmer you can actually ride the wave down the pool. Which is great fun.

Universal has plenty of thrills too and both parks have a shopping district. Disney Springs in particular is packed full of some of the biggest brands in the world as well as shops and restaurants that are totally unique to this location.

Miami

Alternatively, you could head to Miami. One of the best reasons to go to Miami is for the beaches. Miami has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world including South Beach. There have been countless movies and TV shows that have been shot on location here so you’ll probably find it instantly recognisable. Of course, if you want to do more than tan then Miami still won’t disappoint. You can think about heading to the Botanical Gardens. Here you’ll see some of the rarest and most beautiful plants and flowers in the world.

Or, you can take a trip to a science museum that is complete with a planetarium and an aquatic safari. For you to explore. Or, if you are heading to the edge of Miami, you can go fishing. Miami is home to some of the best fishing spots in the world and companies like Double Threat Fishing Charters can guarantee that you do catch plenty of fish on your trip.

The Keys

If you want to get off the beaten track when you head to Florida, then we recommend you journey to the Florida Keys. This string of tropical islands is located on the Southern tip of Florida and stretches about 120 miles. So, there are definitely a lot of different spots to explore here. The best part about the keys is the isolation. You can explore for an entire day and if you’re lucky you won’t see a single other person. You just need to make sure that you are keeping track of the weather. You don’t want to be out on one of the islands when a tropical storm comes in.

This is another great place in Florida for fishing. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, the other possibility would be jet skiing. The calm waters are perfect for this activity. Although it’s not recommended that you head out on your own and there are jet ski tours that explore the Keys.

Tampa

Or finally, you could think about taking a trip to Tampa. Tampa is home to Busch Gardens. This half wildlife park, half theme park and full-on adventure. There are some great rides here courtesy of the creators of Sea World. Tampa is also home to some absolutely gorgeous spa resorts. As such, it could be another great place to go if you want to relax and unwind in complete and total comfort.

We hope this helps you see that there are some fantastic places that you should plan on visiting around Florida. From beautiful tropical paradises to thrilling entertainment possibilities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy here. You could plan a road trip and hit all these destinations in one jam-packed vacation.
