I’m not sure what happened since the last time I visited Prague. Nine years ago it was busy but not like this. I couldn’t walk Charles Bridge without bumping into someone with a selfie stick and couldn’t stroll the Old Town Square without getting run over by a tour guide on the Segway. It was like I was on the Jetsons. Yes, the future has arrived in Prague. With so much chaos I was more than happy with my hotel accommodations on the quieter side of the Vltava – The Aria Prague Hotel, a music-themed hotel and sanctuary is surprisingly crowded Praha.
Where it’s at
Located at the foot of the Prague Castle, the Aria Prague Hotel is quietly tucked away from the crowds yet close to the action. Charles Bridge is a short two-minute walk and the Old Town Square is another 10 or so from there. With its quiet location next to the Vrtbovska Gardens you would never know that so much is so close.
Classical Room
The first thing you will notice in your Aria Prague Hotel room is the musical theme. From the signature notes on the floor to the custom painted pictures throughout, the Aria Prague Hotel offers a subtle retreat for the music lover. Looking past that you will find modern touches like an Apple TV and an iPad loaded with thousands songs for you to enjoy – perfect for unwinding after a day fighting the crowds.
All that Jazz
Aria’s Hotel music theme doesn’t end at the iPad. Around the property you will find more amazing pictures by Mr. Josef Blecha–a personal friend of the owner. Those murals are of 17 artists selected to represent the musical character of the Aria Prague Hotel. To take Aria Hotel’s music theme further they have hired a musical concierge in the library. There you can check out CDs from hundreds of artists or DVDs to enjoy in your room or in the private theater next door.
On top of that
Above being a musical secluded hideaway that just happens to be located in a quiet area of town next to the Vrtbovska Gardens, the Aria Prague Hotel also houses one of the city’s best kept secrets– a rooftop bar and restaurant with stunning views. From above the Aria Prague Hotel, you can enjoy a cocktail while gazing at the sea of red tile roofs and the mighty Vltava river.
Not too shabby.
Stay Classical
Or jazzy, or rock. Each floor of the Aria Prague Hotel is a different genre theme and offers everything from massive suites fit for a president (like the one Bill Clinton stayed in – there seems to be a theme here) to cozy rooms like the one I stay in.
Praha Choice
For it’s quiet yet accessible location, musical themed rooms, and awesome rooftop patio I would gladly return to the Aria Prague Hotel. It was the perfect place to return to after my day trip to Pilsen and and was a quiet retreat from the touristy streets of the old quarter.
Plus, who doesn’t love great art paired with great music?

Although I was provided a complimentary stay at the Aria Prague Hotel,
the experience, opinions, and classy stay are my own.
Another great find! Looks amazing. I love Prague, even if it is touristy!
Cheers Felicia!
Agreed. Prague is very busy. Worth the crowds though and even more so with a hotel stay like this.
That is why it is so busy I suppose!
I had a wonderful time in Prague and didn’t mind the crowds really. I can understand because of how attractive that city is. There is so much history, culture, and architecture to love in Prague.
Agreed Harly. Beautiful town!
