Where to Go When Visiting Bangkok in 2022

Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is constantly alive and full of energy. There’s always something for everyone in Bangkok with its rich culture and endless activities. So, if you’re looking for an exciting vacation destination in 2022, Bangkok should be at the top of your list.

Whether you’re interested in exploring temples and palaces, shopping or dining at world-class restaurants, or enjoying nightlife entertainment, Bangkok has it all. Here are some of the top places to visit when in Bangkok.

Go Ferrying

One of the first activities you can try doing if you are visiting Bangkok in 2022 is to go ferrying. Many ferrying services in Bangkok will take you to its numerous surrounding islands, and Koh Lanta is one of the islands you should not miss. This island is perfect for near the end of the trip since it will allow you to unwind and relax amidst the beautiful island scenery. After being in Bangkok for a few days, spending some time in Koh Lanta will feel like being in a luxury resort. You can discover more about how to get a ferry to the island on this link. It is always good to have as much information as possible beforehand, so take advantage of some of the guides available online.

Terminal 21

Another place you definitely have to add to your travel itinerary when visiting Bangkok in 2022 is Terminal 21. Despite its name, which might suggest that it is an airport, it is actually one of the most popular shopping malls in the city. You can visit the gym, head to a cafe, or experience shopping in different cities of international countries since each of Terminal 21’s floors follows a theme.

Street Food Stalls

If visiting a mall reminds you too much of home despite the mall’s unique decorations, you can stroll through one of the many street food stalls in Bangkok instead. One of the biggest benefits of visiting a street food stall in Bangkok is that you will experience authentic local cuisine that you otherwise would not find at home. You will definitely find a dish that you’ll like regardless of your taste buds. It might just take some experimentation.

Lumpini Park

Once you have been out and about, have seen all of the local attractions, and rubbed shoulders with enough travellers, you might want to find a place to relax. One of the best places to relax and take in the greenery in Bangkok is Lumpini Park. This park is situated amongst the hustle and bustle of Bangkok but is kind of tucked away like a little secret. Walking through this park is a surreal experience, especially when realizing Bangkok surrounds it.

Shop at Khao San Road

One of Bangkok’s most popular tourist destinations worth visiting is Khao San Road. You would have naturally been here if you decided to try one of the many food stalls in Bangkok since many are found here. Besides food, you’ll also find clothing stalls, guest houses, and many other things on Khao San Road.

Chatuchak Market

If you want many vendors and food stalls, visit Chatuchak Market. This is one of the largest marketplaces in the world, with over 15,000 stalls. The sight alone is enough to make you want to visit it, but more than this, this is a great place to find some souvenirs to bring home.

Saduak Floating Market

Finally, if you are up for one more surreal experience, there is nothing more surreal than buying fresh vegetables and groceries at Damnoen Sudak Floating Market. This market is on a river, and you will do your shopping on a boat! However, it should be said that this is one of the most famous marketplaces in Bangkok, so it is almost always extremely busy.
