With little planned and even less to do over Christmas, I decided to make the most of my free time away from work and do something constructive. It may not have been festive and jolly it certainly was not but none the less, I decided to tile my tub surround. Yes, Merry Christmas indeed.
To try and stay in the spirit I put on Christmas carols and worked late into the night. While other’s were eagerly awaiting Christmas morning gifts, I was waiting mortar to dry so I could continue on.
It wasn’t all bah-humbug for me, I managed to smoke a turkey while putting the finishing touches on my work. The tiling turned out great and the turkey even better.
Before you go thinking I am without family and happiness in my life, Erin came to visit after boxing day and then we were off to Yellowknife to celebrate the holidays with my family. More on that soon.
