After spending a day touring Panama City and its famous Canal, I was back at the Tocumen International Airport for a Turkish Air flight to Istanbul. With a couple of hours to burn, I made my way to the Copa Lounge, Panama airport’s only Star Alliance lounge. Here’s what I found.
Where is the Coppa Club Lounge Located?
Just after clearing security, turn left. The Copa Lounge is a short walk and is located next to gate 130. It is open between 5:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Copa Club Lounge Service and Amenities
The Copa Club Lounge features include a work centre, one shower stall, and a variety of seating options. Wifi is available with access. The service was good enough on my visit for me to stream a couple of shows.
As it is the only lounge in the airport, it is very loud and busy. On my visit, this was highlighted by seemingly every second person either FaceTiming while on speakerphone or watching a video loudly without headphones. 🤦READ MORE: Is Copa Airlines Business Class Worth It?
Copa Lounge Food and Drink
Food in this business class ounge is limited to a selection of local snacks. This includes crackers, cookies, chips, and plantain chips.
The bar is also limited to a few spirits, wine, and two Panama beers. There is a bartender on hand to make you a drink if you please.
Although the Copa Lounge is pretty basic when compared to other Star Alliance lounges out there, it’s the only one in town. I suggest not paying for this lounge if that’s your only option. If you are flying business class on Copa or a partner airline, you may as well get your free Balboa beer!Compare prices on Copa Air Business Class flights with Skyscanner!
