A Stunning Photo Walk on the Old Dubrovnik Walls


Dubrovnik is home to the most impressive walled city in the world (says me) and on my 1st visit, I completely missed walking on them. A walk on the old Dubrovnik walls was a big part in why I decided to return. The old town is ridiculously beautiful and strolling its 80+ f00t high walls gave me a whole new perspective and appreciation for the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” To circle the entire city it will take you about 2 hours, cost you 120 Kuna (~$23 CAD), and drain your camera battery.

I could go on explaining how the city walls fought off invaders for centuries and remained intact during the siege by Serbia in the 90’s but I would rather show you why it is the most popular attraction in Dubrovnik today.

1 April – 31 May: 8.00 am – 6.30 pm
1 June – 31 July: 8.00 am – 7.30 pm
1 August – 30 September: 8.00 am – 6.30 pm
1 October – 31 October: 8.00 am – 5.30 pm
1 November – 31 March: 9.00 am – 3.00 pm

Duration: 1-2 hours.
