A visit to Cairo has long been on my must do list. After years of putting off a trip due to the political situation and media fall out, I finally arrive. The first thing I did was a leisurely walk around the Pyramids of Giza. Perhaps because of others fears or because of the extreme heat, this walk around the Pyramids of Giza was a very private and peaceful one. No hordes of tourists, smog, or abundance of hawkers. Just a man and a neatly piled stack of rocks.
Oh, and a camera.
With that, here is my photo walk around the Pyramids of Giza. Hopefully they inspire you to put Cairo back on your travel list. Now is a great time to go.
A walk around the Pyramids of Giza Good to Know
Tips: Bring water. Lots of water. Hat and sun protection too!
Don’t Miss: The pyramids (der), camel ride (if you’re allowed), and the Sphinx!
